We know that media monitoring is the apple to public relations, the Bonnie and Clyde to corporate or organization's branding, we always work side by side, inseparable, well... Not to sound possessive. So it was only natural for Trendreader to get on board with JAMMPIRO#2 (Jambore media and public relations Indonesia) in Yogyakarta from 4-6 October 2016 at Jambuluwuk Hotel.
JAMMPIRO#2 is one of the biggest PR events in Indonesia, initiated by PR Indonesia magazine. This time Trendreader also became one of the official sponsors for the event. One of the most exciting parts as a sponsor is we got to set up our own booth. We only had a week to prepare our "ammunition" but we managed to design Trendreader's booth with many properties, such as old newspaper as the backdrop, client website demo, LED screen display to loop our videos, x-banner, brochures and flash disk as souvenir. Kuddos to the team!
And you know what they say, hard work ALWAYS pays off. We were so thrilled when many participants visited our booth to experience our client website, our workflow, the advantages of using media monitoring and our role in PR handling.
Another blessing from JAMMPIRO#2 is we got to meet many great figures in the communication and PR industry, from 7 PR Gurus, PR communities, corporate PR executive, government PR practitioners to aspiring PR students. The PR figures shared their knowledge and experience that enriched our vocabularies in the communication and PR industry and sparked our passion to learn more.
Not only did we gain new knowledge but we also gained new friends. We know that networking is crucial to maintain our existence and develop our business. So setting up a booth at JAMMPIRO#2 was a start to introduce our brand and service, attract attention from potential clients, and provide face time for potential clients to experience the look, feel, and personality of Trendreader.
Besides the formal event, JAMMPIRO#2 also gave us the taste of Yogyakarta city. We visited Manding Village, a local leather product handcrafter community, which produced bags, wallets, hat, belt, shoes, slippers to accessories. The city tour was not just about leather product productions but more to how the community struggled to find jobs earlier, started their business, channeled their local wisdom and transformed it into valuable and profitable business.
As the three-day event came to an end, we reflected back on the so many funs we experienced, not just about building Trendreader brand awareness. Thank you Trendreader's management for this awesome opportunity and the team who supported each other all the way through the preparation, main event, and post event. WE DID IT! Our hope is for Trendreader to become the biggest media monitoring agency in Indonesia and paved our ways to the international media monitoring industry (can we get an Amen for that?!?). Always dream big right? See you at JAMMPIRO#3 guys!
